When to swim with orcas in Norway?

The season for swimming with orcas in the Norwegian fjords takes place from October to January, when orcas and whales follow the herring in Northern Norway. Each day at sea is unique and depends on natural conditions.

How an immersion experience unfolds

A supervised and respectful immersion experience, guided by the rhythm of the sea and the orcas.

Arrival

Warm welcome, check-in, apéritif, dinner, and an introduction to the orcas and the adventure ahead.

Expedition days

Breakfast → sea excursion → return filled with emotions → lunch → relaxation → shared moments → friendly dinner.

Each day is guided by:
orcas, whales, the sea, emotions, and shared experiences.

Departure

Return after the final excursion, according to your travel plans.

    • Good physical condition

    • To know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.

    How your immersion experience unfolds
    • Arrival :

    Arrival on Sunday or Wednesday at the end of the day.
    Warm welcome, check-in to your room, and discovery of the house.

    Over an aperitif, we get to know each other and introduce you to your immersion experience swimming with orcas in Norway.

    • Days at sea :

    Breakfast.

    Welcome of the other participants following the typical organization of a swim-with-orcas excursion. Water entry training (first day only), followed by departure to meet the orcas.

    After the excursion, return to the house for lunch, relaxation, and shared moments together.
    The day ends with a friendly dinner… and perhaps beneath the Northern Lights.

    • The following days : 

    The rhythm settles in naturally: sleep, eat, sail… orcas, whales, cold, joy, adrenaline and shared moments 🙂

    • Departure :

    Final sea excursion, lunch, then departure in the early afternoon.
